Greetings JMU family and friends

All of us in the JMU community are looking forward to the excitement of this special event and celebrating these amazing accomplishments!  This December we have two ceremonies taking place, The Undergraduate Ceremony and The Graduate Ceremony, and below we will provide additional details about each event.

On Friday, December 15th at 7:00 p.m., we will hold the Graduate School Ceremony in Wilson Hall Auditorium. Tickets are not required and seating is available first come, first serve. This ceremony will include all the pomp and circumstance with live music, a guest speaker, and the procession of graduates across the stages when their names are read aloud. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m.

On Saturday, December 16th at 10:00 a.m., we will hold the Undergraduate Ceremony in the Convocation Center. Tickets are not required and seating is available first come, first serve. This ceremony includes the procession of graduates across the stage when their names are read aloud. Doors will open at 8:00 a.m.

The students will be individually recognized as they cross the stage during these ceremonies. Diplomas will be mailed to the student's home address on file, but the student will receive a scroll while on stage.

GradImages will be at each of the ceremonies to photograph each graduate receiving his or or her degree. The photographer will contact each student following graduation about purchasing options. If you would like to purchase a video of the university and college ceremonies, please check the commencement photography/videography page for instructions.  For additional questions, please see our Frequently Asked Questions page. We look forward to sharing this special occasion with you!
