My sincere congratulations to you, the members of the James Madison University graduating class of 2012. Through commitment and dedication to learning you have persevered through the rigors of our undergraduate curriculum. You should now feel a sense of accomplishment in concluding this era of achievement and also a sense of anticipation related to the beginning of a new one.
Soon you will be embarking on a new journey, which will include your professional career, roles of civic engagement in the community, and many other personal pursuits, but wherever you go, whatever you do, I hope you will always represent JMU as a proud graduate.
On May 4th and 5th, you will be honored for completing this significant chapter of your life that has broadened your intellectual horizons and given you friends and memories that will last a lifetime. It is my hope that JMU has successfully prepared you to enter the next phase of your life with the confidence needed to succeed.
On behalf of the JMU community, I congratulate you on fulfilling your degree requirements. Please join us for the University Commencement as we celebrate this time-honored tradition.
Sincerely,
