My best wishes and sincere congratulations go out to members of the James Madison University graduating class of 2008.   Two Thousand and Eight is unique in that it is the year in which we will celebrate our institution’s Centennial anniversary.  Fulfilling your degree requirements is a great accomplishment and all of us in the JMU community commend you as your graduation day approaches.   Soon you will be representing JMU as a proud graduate.

It is my honor and pleasure to invite you, our Centennial Dukes, to participate in the extraordinary celebration of James Madison University’s Centennial Commencement in which we will recognize your hard work and dedication at James Madison University.

On May 3, you will be honored for completing this significant chapter of your life that has broadened your intellectual horizons and given you friends and memories that will last a lifetime.   It is my hope that JMU has successfully prepared you to enter the next phase of your life with the confidence needed to succeed.

I look forward to greeting you as the University celebrates this time-honored tradition.

Sincerely,

Linwood H. Rose
President
