May Graduate Student Graduation Checklist

Qualification for Participation

In order to participate in the May 6, 2011 commencement ceremony, a graduation application must be completed by each candidate and submitted to The Graduate School by January 23. Due to printing production schedules, your name may not appear in the commencement program if your application is not received by the above deadline.

	January 15, 2011	Personalized graduation mail order information is available online at: www.herff-jones.com/college/graduation
	January 23, 2011	Application for degree due to The Graduate School.
	February 24 - 25, 2011	Order personalized Commencement announcements at the bookstore.
	After April 4, 2011	Generic graduation announcements are available from the bookstore. Call the Bookstore: (540) 568-6960 or toll free: 1-800-280-7543 or order online: www.herff-jones.com/college/graduation
	April 4 - 8, 2011	Graduate Fair at the Bookstore: generic graduation announcements are available or order customized ones; order a class ring; pick-up a diploma frame and purchase the new, exclusive cap and gown. Master sets are: $55.00 EDS sets are: $69.00 Doctoral candidate black regalia rentals are: $65.00
	May 2 - 5, 2011	Pick-up your name cards from The Graduate School, 17 West Grace Street between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
	May 6, 2011	All coursework requirements must be completed by this date.
	May 6, 2011	Students must be in proper processional line by 6:30 p.m.
	May 6, 2011	Commencement begins at 7 p.m.
	May 6, 2011	You're graduating. You're leaving campus.
