December Graduation Checklist

Qualification for Participation

In order to participate in the December 17, 2011 commencement ceremony, a graduation application must have been completed by each senior and submitted to the Office of the Registrar by October 7. Due to printing production schedules, your name may not appear in the commencement program if your application is not received by the above deadline.

	June 1, 2011	Application for degree due to department.
	June 15, 2011	Application for degree due to Office of the Registrar. To make certain that you have applied for graduation, you can check here.
	November 8 - 10, 2011	Purchase cap and gown from the Bookstore. Bachelor sets are: $50.00
	November 8 - 10, 2011	A representative will be in the bookstore for purchasing graduation announcements during these dates. Call the Bookstore: (540) 568-6960 or toll free: 1-800-280-7543 or order online: www.herff-jones.com/college/graduation
	December 12-16, 2011	Pick-up your name cards from Registration Services, 3rd Floor, Warren Hall between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
	December 16, 2011	All graduation requirements, including final semester for undergraduate, masters and Ed.S., must be completed by this date.
	December 16, 2011	JMU Alumni Association December Graduates Senior reception from 5 - 6 p.m. in the Great Room of the Leeolou Alumni Center
	December 17, 2011	Students must be in proper processional line by 9:30 a.m.
	December 17, 2011	Commencement begins at 10 a.m.
	December 17, 2011	You're graduating. You're leaving campus.
