Grounded in Communication theory, our tutoring supplements JMU's oral communication classroom instruction and fosters innovative methods for communicating in the digital age.
Goals
To tutor basic organization, arrangement and delivery skills that are necessary for JMU speakers to ethically and confidently present themselves and their ideas in academic, civic
and professional settings.
To promote effective methods for integrating visual and oral messages for public address.
To provide an innovative, experiential learning environment for student employees that
will benefit their coursework and enrich their professional and civic contributions.
To offer the necessary facilities and technology for JMU public speakers to prepare and rehearse oral and visual messages for public address.
