Ashley Taylor Jaffee is a former middle and high school social studies teacher. She taught in Puerto Rico prior to earning her degree from Teachers College, Columbia University. Her research focuses on social studies and citizenship education, culturally and linguistically relevant pedagogy, and immigrant youth. She currently teaches courses in social studies methods and seminar, student teaching practicum, student teaching internship seminar, and curriculum and co-curriculum.
