Dr. Slykhuis

Dr. Slykhuis is the Science Educator for the Middle and Secondary Education Programs.  His current courses include:

• MSSE 470S Middle School Science Methods
• MSSE 570S Secondary Science Methods
• MSSE 571S Secondary Science Practicum
• EDUC 540 Educational Technology

He also is currently:

• Director of the Content Teaching Academy
• Vice-President and Co-Chair of the Teacher Education Council for the Society of Information Technology and Teacher Education (SITE).

Dr. Slykhuis began at JMU in the fall of 2004 after receiving his PhD from North Carolina State University in Science Education in May of 2004.
