To be licensed to teach secondary school History and Social Science, the candidate must satisfactorily complete requirements for a baccalaureate degree with a major in History or Political Science (for job opportunities, we highly recommend candidates major in History) in addition to two undergraduate minors - the Interdisciplinary Social Science (ISS) minor and the Secondary Education Pre-professional Studies in education minor. The Secondary Education Master of Arts in Teaching 5th year format graduate program must also be completed for teacher licensure.
