Graduate Assistant, Self-Enhancement Services, Western Michigan University.  Organized and administered the academic assistance program for students in the College of Arts and Sciences, consulted with students having academic needs, and supervised daily activities of office staff (1989 - 1990).

 Graduate Research Assistant, Evaluation Center, Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan.   Collected and analyzed statistical data for special projects. Evaluated and consulted with doctoral students in relation to data analysis for dissertation and thesis (1985 - 1988).

Graduate Assistant, Merze Tate Research Center, Western Michigan University Kalamazoo, Michigan.    Designed and delivered training on word processing and computer use, planned and produced monthly newsletter, coordinated international student advisory committee, and designed evaluation procedures for Center services (1984 - 1985).

Professor-In-Residence Program (PIR)

The Professor-In-Residence Program (PIR) is a James Madison University (JMU) outreach endeavor to promote the educational attainment and college aspirations of Virginia high school students.

The PIR program is focused in high schools with diverse student and high free and reduce lunch populations.

Professors and Partner Schools
JMU has many dedicated professors, each representing a different discipline who are instrumental to the program. They spend at least one day per week visiting one of seven partner high schools. View partnering high schools.

The program also has a relationship with two middle schools in Virginia, helping students establish a plan for their future.
