Beginning spring 2010, candidates student teaching through the James Madison Teacher Education programs may be able to apply to student teach at international locations. Through our partnership with Educators Abroad (http://www.eltap.org/), candidates are afforded the opportunity to student teach in one of over fifty countries.
Applications for International Student Teaching are a multi-stepped process, which includes being accepted by your program and Educators Abroad.
The documents below will provide information regarding international student teaching and guide interested candidates through the application process. Students interested in International Student Teaching should carefully read through all of the documents:
2. Program Area policies for student teaching placements
3. Estimated Costs of International Student Teaching Semesters
4. Five Steps in the Application Process for International Student Teaching
