Dual Licensure Program

This 5-year Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) program is for current JMU undergraduate students that leads to initial teaching licensure in both PreK-3rd grade and Early Childhood Special Education (birth-5 years). Field experiences provide students with the opportunity to learn and practice skills in working with children, birth-8 years.

As undergraduates, students must major in Interdisciplinary Liberal Studies (IDLS) and minor in Inclusive Early Childhood Education (IECE).
