*WHAT ARE THE QUALIFYING SCORES FOR PRAXIS I WAIVER?
If you made more than 1100 on the SAT-I with at least 530 in verbal and math or if you had ACT scores with a composite of 24--22 in math and 46 in English+Reading, you can substitute these scores for Praxis I.
I DON'T REMEMBER MY SAT/ACT SCORES!
Go to ecampus, log in, and find the drop-down box. Click on "test scores."
WHEN DO I TAKE THE TESTS?
The semester/year in the above chart is a suggested timeline so that you can spread them out over your program.
ARE THERE ANY SET DEADLINES?
Yes, you must pass Praxis I (or have qualifying SAT scores) to be accepted in the Teacher Education Program and you have to be accepted to enroll in ECED or ELED courses. For more information on admission/acceptance in Teacher Education, see http://coe.jmu.edu/esc.
If you are in the ELED program, you must pass Praxis II before starting your graduate year.
The other tests may be taken at any time, but passing scores are required to complete your licensure program.
Registration information, including test dates, test sites, computer-based options, and scheduling, is available from the websites in the above chart. You can also find additional information about the tests and support at the ESC website.
