Early Childhood Education:
Undergraduate

The Early Childhood Education Program prepares students for licensure in preschool/kindergarten-3rd grade.  Students major in Interdisciplinary Liberal Studies (IDLS) and minor in Early Childhood Education.  The minor is a four-semester undergraduate program that typically begins in the junior year.  In addition to education courses, students take 6-9 hours of IDLS coursework during each of the first three ECED semesters in order to complete both programs (refer to the following chart).  The ECED program is only available for students graduating by spring 2012.
