Miarra BeallHometown: Montclair, VA

Major: Computer Information Systems

Year of graduation: 2015

Favorite Hobbies: I enjoy working out, teaching group fitness classes at UREC, hanging with friends and family, watching movies and eating good food!

Most Interesting Experience: Visiting Colombia for a month.  The lifestyle there was so different than in the U.S. It gave me some useful perspective on different cultures and sparked my interest in traveling the world.

Something That Most People Don't Know About You: I have two adorable nieces who were born on 9/9/9 and 12/12/12.

Something You Wish Someone Had Told You When You Were A Freshman: Figure out what you want to do early, pick your major and stick with it.  Also, don’t skimp on school supplies that will keep you organized, it’ll be worth it!

Paul Fitzsimmons

Major: Accounting

Year of graduation: 2014

Favorite Hobbies: I love playing sports in my free time and going out with friends on the weekends. I enjoy playing soccer and golf most.

Most Interesting Experience: I went skydiving last summer, which was indescribable. Definitely interesting, among many other things!

Something That Most People Don't Know About You: Growing up the one thing I knew for certain that I didn’t want to be when I grew up was an accountant. Funny how things change…

Something You Wish Someone Had Told You When You Were A Freshman: That I was going to major in business so that I wouldn’t have been behind my sophomore year and have to take eight COB pre-requisites in two semesters.

Karl Grabbi

Karl Grabbi

Hometown: Alexandria, VA

Major: Finance

Year of graduation: 2015

Favorite Hobbies: Traveling the world, playing golf, basketball, lacrosse, and skiing.

Most Interesting Experience:  Exploring underground rivers and caves in Belize in which I discovered a 5,000 year old Mayan artifact.  It was an experience unlike any other in the world. I’ve also traveled to Cinque Terre, Italy where I saw some of the most beautiful coastlines and mountains in Europe.

Something That Most People Don't Know About You:  I am fluent in Estonian and didn’t actually learn English till elementary school.

Something You Wish Someone Had Told You When You Were A Freshman: Get involved with as many organizations as you can on campus.  Join a club sports team, rush a fraternity, and check out some academic clubs because it’s the relationships that you build with your peers that will last for the rest of your life.  Also, take advantage of any opportunity to study abroad because there is so much to see out in the world.

Beatrix HaddonBeatrix Haddon

Hometown: Arlington, VA

Major: Marketing

Year of graduation: 2015

Favorite Hobbies: I love photography, playing piano and guitar, and going on adventures.

Most Interesting Experience: I studied abroad in London the summer after freshman year. It was really interesting to explore the city and compare our culture with theirs. The best part was seeing people’s reactions when I tried to speak in a British accent.

Something That Most People Don't Know About You: I talk and walk in my sleep!

Something You Wish Someone Had Told You When You Were A Freshman: Tests in college make more of an impact on your grade than they did in high school. One test can really make or break your grade.

Ameer Hasan

Favorite Hobbies: A few of my favorite hobbies are exercising, playing sports, reading, watching movies, and hanging out with friends and family!

Most Interesting Experience: I was fortunate enough to visit Jerusalem in the summer of 2012 and got to site see various historical sites!

Something That Most People Don't Know About You: I’m a big health freak. I started eating healthy two years ago and haven’t stopped the healthy living I’ve taken on!

Something You Wish Someone Had Told You When You Were A Freshman: Get involved on campus early on because you’ll form great relationships along the way. There are so many organizations and clubs JMU has to offer, your bound to find one that you’ll love.

Favorite Hobbies: Scouting and outdoor activities

Most Interesting Experience: Hiking and climbing up Half Dome in Yosemite.

Something That Most People Don't Know About You: I worship F. Scott Fitzgerald and in many ways try to emulate his ornate style in my writing.

Something You Wish Someone Had Told You When You Were A Freshman: I wish someone told me to live it up because time flies by so fast in college, you turn around and next thing you know you’re already a decrepit and cynical junior.

Jennifer Pierz

Major: Accounting

Year of graduation: 2015

Favorite Hobbies: Playing basketball, reading, writing, and hanging out with friends

Something You Wish Someone Had Told You When You Were A Freshman: Find where your passion lies and don’t try to do everything. Being extremely involved in one organization looks better on a resume than having five organizations that you are uninterested in.

Matthew Rubino

Matthew RubinoHometown: Kimberton, PA

Major: Finance (with a concentration in European Business) and a minor in Economics

Year of graduation: 2015

Favorite Hobbies: I am very passionate about golf and allocate my time during the summer between work, golf tournaments, and going to our family’s beach house in Ocean City, NJ.  Other hobbies I enjoy include reading, body surfing, and spending time with family and friends.

Something That Most People Don't Know About You: One of my goals is to play the top 100 golf courses in the country.

Something That You Wish Someone Had Told You When You Were A Freshman: Have an open mind about trying new things.  College is the place to expand your horizons and really enjoy your time before you set out in the real world.  Create college experiences that force you to move out of your comfort zone.

Cameron Young

YoungMajor: International BusinessHometown: Chantilly, VA

Year of graduation: 2015

Favorite Hobbies: Cooking, running, eating and traveling.

Most Interesting Experience: My entire ASB trip to Costa Rica but if I had to choose one, learning to surf. When you finally are able to stand up on the board that is an indescribable feeling that everyone should experience.

Something That Most People Don't Know About You: I ran in to the corner of a wall and cracked my head open as a child. If you look closely at my forehead there's a Harry Potter-esque scar on it.

Something You Wish Someone Had Told You When You Were A Freshman: Join a random club, take a random class, participate in a random program; you never know where it may lead you.

Brittain CampanaBrittain Campana

Major: BBA Economics with a concentration in finance; European business minor.

Favorite Hobbies: I love cooking and baking. Recently I have taking some yoga classes, which I really enjoy. I also like spending time with family and friends.

Most Interesting Experience You Have Ever Had: my most interesting experience was studying abroad this past fall (2013). While it's hard to pinpoint the most interesting experience since something interesting was always happening,  one my favorites was waking up at 5am to treck up to the cliffs of moher in Ireland. The views over the ocean were amazing.

Something That Most People Don't Know About You: I went on a mission trip my senior year of high school to India with the operation smile organization. While I was there, I actually watched some surgeries and managed to not pass out during any of them!

Something You Wish Someone Had Told You When You Were A Freshman: I wish I had been told to get involved as soon as possible... You may feel too young to have a say in organizations around campus but the upperclassmen love your opinions and it's so advantageous for you to get a jump start on being involved around campus so early on!

It was an amazing experience to witness the beauties of nature in such a remote area.

Something That Most People Don't Know About You: I did not decide to be a Finance major until senior year in high school. At a young age, I always had in mind that I wanted to major in Criminology and work for the Secret Service.

Something You Wish Someone Had Told You When You Were A Freshman: I was lucky because my sister attended JMU, so I had some advice coming in. However, get involved early and join an organization that you can place your passion in. Don’t spread yourself too thin, and get used to being out of your comfort zone.
