The Information Security (Infosec) MBA program at James Madison University (JMU) and the National Defense University's (NDU) Information Resources Management College (IRMC) agree to a joint mission to provide extended academic opportunities to IRMC students. The IRMC students who finish the Information Assurance (IRMC/IA) certificate program at NDU will be given fifteen transfer credit hours towards completing their MBA program at JMU, once they are formally accepted to the Infosec MBA program. The main objectives of this collaborative arrangement between the Infosec MBA program and IRMC include:
Both institutions have as a mission to offer high quality graduate level programs in information assurance. It is recognized that while both of the partners provide unique programs, the interface of both programs will result in a new educational synergy that will have a significant impact on the effectiveness of information assurance education for both programs.
