Marketing internships are designed to provide work experiences that cannot be taught in the classroom. Marketing internships that qualify for three hours of university credit must be marketing-related. Marketing-related internships are broadly defined and can extend over a wide range of work related activities, including but not limited to:
After securing an approved internship, I understand that a minimum of 250 hours of work is required, three progress reports must be sent electronically to my advisor (each a minimum of two weeks apart), and a final project is due one week upon returning to JMU campus for the Fall semester. Upon returning to campus I will schedule an exit interview with my advisor.
An evaluation from my employer will be received by my advisor the first week I return to classes.
My employer will be expected to submit an online assessment of my work during the internship.
