A Le Gourmet Event

JMU Hospitality & Tourism Management presents Purple Haze! The 7th annual Le Gourmet event will be held at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to welcome students, faculty, alumni, and friends. This dinner party and auction has grown to be an integral part of hospitality education at James Madison University.

Le Gourmet is the single largest fundraiser in support of the JMU Hospitality and Tourism Management Program.  The evening has always provided a lively way to support this distinguished program while experiencing the very best the hospitality industry has to offer.

The 2009 theme, "Purple Haze" will incorporate JMU's purple and gold school colors.  The event will pay homage to the year 1969 and the 40th Anniversary of Woodstock.  With this "Sixties Chic" motif, attendees are encouraged to dress to impress while being ready to rock the night away to live music from the sixties and seventies.  Of course, no "Le Gourmet" would be complete without a dazzling display of culinary skill which will be provided by RSVP Catering.

6:00 - 7:30 p.m. - Reception and hors d'oeuvres
7:30 - 9:00 p.m. - Dinner, Awards, and Live Auction
9:00 p.m. - Midnight - Dancing and Dessert
Throughout the evening - Silent Auction

We are seating tables of ten at $200 per seat.
