Jaideep Chowdhury, PhD, joins us as an Assistant Professor in Finance for the 2011-12 academic year. Dr. Chowdhury has a PhD in Economics, and is currently completing a PhD in Finance at Virginia Tech. Dr. Chowdhury has been teaching FIN360 and FIN371 during the 2010-11 academic year as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Finance.
Mark Gruskin, a doctoral candidate at Wayne State University, will be a Visiting Assistant Professor in Finance for the 2011-12 academic year. Mr. Gruskin has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science degree from Penn State, and an MBA from Penn State University. Mr. Gruskin has over 27 years experience in finance at Ford Motor Company, Dearborn, Michigan. Mr. Gruskin will be teaching Finance for Non-finance majors (FIN345), as well as Analysis of Financial Policy (FIN488).
Risk Management II (FIN451) will be taught for the first time in Spring of 2012.
Spreadsheet Skills in Finance (FIN302) will be taught for the first time under its new number (previously taught as FIN490B), and will now incorporate the Trading Lab software. FIN302 is required of all Finance majors under the 2011-12 Catalog and beyond.
