Scholarship Dinner. Kassiyev is the 2009 winner of the Howard M. and Jane S.
Wilhelm Scholarship in Economics. Kassiyev and Bazarbayeva both have double
majors in Economics and Public Policy and Administration.

Nima Neil Maher & Marina Rosser

Nima Neil Maher, left, is the winner of the J. Barkley Rosser, Sr. Memorial
Scholarship in Economics for 2009. Representing the family is Dr. Marina V.
Rosser, professor of economics at JMU. Her husband is J. Barkley Rosser,
Jr., also professor of economics at JMU. The scholarship is given in memory
of Rosser, Sr., who was a leading figure in American mathematics, computer
science and space science.

Kelly Jemison

Kelly Jemison, center, is honored as the 2009 recipient of the Sara C.
Yakovac Memorial Scholarship in Economics. At left are her parents and at
right are Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Yakovac. The scholarship is named for their
daughter, a JMU Economics honors graduate who was lost to leukemia in 2001.

Kelly Jemison

Kelly Jemison is the 2009 winner of the Sara C. Yakovac Memorial Scholarship
in Economics. Kelly is a double major in economics and international affairs
and runs cross-country, indoor track and outdoor track for JMU.
