Beta Alpha Psi

Beta Alpha Psi is the national honors society for Accounting, Computer Information Systems, and Finance at James Madison University. The primary objective of the fraternity is to encourage and give recognition to scholastic and professional excellence in the business information field. This includes promoting the study and practice of accounting and information systems; providing opportunities for self-development, service and association among members and practicing professionals, and encouraging a sense of ethical, social, and public responsibility.

WIT - Women in Technology

We are a group of faculty and students interested sharing a common interest in computing and technology. We do not restrict participants to any one discipline but are dedicated to promoting and supporting women in technology. Our members are drawn from Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Integrated Science and Technology, and Engineering, but other majors and interests are welcome. Activities range from invited speakers and touring local companies to playing with ALICE or in Second Life to bowling, hiking and the corn maze. Our service project will be working with local schools to increase interest in technology at the intermediate and high school levels.

International Telecommunications Education Research Association

Telecommunications involves the successful transport of voice, data, image, and video information over a distance. The mission of ITERA is the advancement of telecommunications science through excellence in research and education. Telecommunications science draws from multiple disciplines, including the management, technology and policy aspects of telecommunications. ITERA will work towards the development and advancement of telecommunications as an accredited academic discipline.
