As companies expand their international reach, they are focusing on job candidates with a global perspective. James Madison University and the College of Business offer several opporunities for JMU students to study abroad, and for international students to study in the JMU CIS program.
JMU in Antwerp: COB 300 for Business Majors
Semester in Antwerp, Belgium
This program is open to both business majors and non-business majors. Study in Belgium this summer and earn six hours of business courses. You will be enrolled in MKTG 460 (Global Marketing) and COB 301 (European Integration, Culture and History). Students live in apartments near the University of Antwerp, and participate in organized field trips to Istanbul and Ankara, Turkey, Salzburg in Austria, (birthplace of Mozart and filming location of The Sound of Music) Munich, Germany,and other cities throughout Belgium.
JMU Summer Semester in Beijing: Chinese Business Studies MinorExperience lives in China – the heart of the world’s hottest economy. You will explore China’s 5000 years of history, its rich culture, its political and economic reforms, modern business envi- ronment and live at Tsinghua University, one of China’s most prestig- ious institutions. And you will earn a Chinese Business minor in the process!
