About the Associate Director for Free Enterprise
Bob Subrick is an Associate Professor of Economics at James Madison University. He holds a B.A. (history and international relations) and B.S. (economics) from the University of Delaware and a Ph.D. (economics) from George Mason University. Before coming to JMU, he was Research Associate at the Center for Institutional Reform and the Informal Sector at the University of Maryland and Associate Director of the Center for the Economic Study for Religion at George Mason University. Subrick has worked in the areas of economic development, economics of religion, political economy, and the history of economic thought.
He has published nearly two dozen articles in academic journals. He is currently working on two books. The first is an economic history of Botswana. The second will focus on the economic history of Brazil.
