Faculty Research Award
The Center for Entrepreneurship is launching a new initiative to recognize and reward faculty research efforts devoted to entrepreneurship.
The award recognizes faculty activity and excellence in entrepreneurship research. Examples of entrepreneurial topics include, but are certainly not limited to, studies of enterprise creation, small business management, venture financing, family-owned businesses, minority issues in small business, new venture creation, new product-market entry, corporate entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship.
The CFE will award ten faculty honorariums this year. Authors of winning submissions will receive a $300 direct salary supplement and will be formally recognized on the CFE’s online faculty research wall. The CFE will also recognize non-winning, but notable submissions, as honorable mentions on the faculty research wall. Award recipients will be notified by mid-April. Salary supplements for papers with multiple JMU authors will be equally divided among the co-authors.
JMU faculty members who have published a scholarly article or article(s) exploring an entrepreneurial topic with a journal print date between January 1st, 2010 and March 1st, 2013 are eligible. James Madison University must be your university affiliation on the publication. Email a copy of your published article(s) in PDF form to email@example.com by March 21st with the subject: “CFE Research Submission.” Include your full name, department, and attach your CV.
