General Education

The University's General Education component is made up of five cluster areas identified  below. Within each of the five clusters, a student must select one course from the each of the designated areas depending on the student’s interests and abilities.

The General Education Program serves all majors in the University. Please speak with your academic advisor in order to prepare a schedule that best meets your needs as a student within the College of Business. While any combination of courses from a given area within the cluster will satisfy the official requirements for graduation, we strongly recommend that you take courses required by your major to best prepare you for your career, especially in Cluster 3 and 4. Proper planning will allow you to double count courses that meet both General Education and Major requirements, freeing up space for additional electives.
