Appointment Procedures

Students have three options to schedule an appointment with an advisor:

  1. Email advisor to inquire about available meeting times. Provide your ID number and availability for the upcoming week so that the advisor may pick a date and time suitable for all parties;
  2. Visit the ASC reception desk in Showker 205;
  3. Call the ASC at 540-568-2785.
Generally appointments are not made on the same day.  Please plan your schedule accordingly.

  • Evaluate and respond to requests for course registration matters.
  • Direct you to the appropriate resources for finding an internship for credit.
  • Provide referrals to faculty advisors for counseling in post-graduation options.
  • Offer references to university services for resolution of academic related issues or concerns.
