Following in his father’s footsteps, Jim started working in hotels at the age of 15. Over 35 years of hospitality experience later, of which the last 30 have been in leadership positions with Marriott International, Jim has worked in a variety of hotel types and markets throughout the East Coast. He is currently an Area Director overseeing Marriott’s Managed Select Brand Hotels located throughout Pennsylvania, Delaware and southern New Jersey. Prior to that, he held multiple General Manager positions.

He was also past President of the Greater Philadelphia Hotel Association and Vice Chair of the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau. In addition, Jim is actively involved in the development and recruitment of our future hospitality leaders hosting management trainees and interns in his hotels. He also enjoys coming back to JMU each semester to assist in Marriott’s recruitment efforts.

He is also the proud father of a past graduate from the Hart School as well as a current student. He resides in Chester Springs PA with his wife Karen, who he also met while at JMU. You can certainly say he bleeds purple, even the family Golden Retriever proudly wears a JMU bandana and collar.
