Partner, Mazars

Kathryn Byrne has more than 25 years of experience in providing accounting, auditing, tax and consulting services to domestic and foreign corporations. She specializes in the audit of owner-managed businesses and public companies.

Byrne was the former North American Chair of Praxity, a unique global alliance of independent accounting firms with offices in 65 countries, and is a member of its Membership Committee. She is also a member of the Group Governance Council of Mazars Group.

Byrne is a certified public accountant in Pennsylvania and New York. She is a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Byrne is a member of the Board of Directors of Signature Bank and member and former chair of the Examination Committee. She is also a member of the Women’s Corporate Directors group and the James Madison University College of Business Board of Advisors. In addition, Byrne is deputy chair of IFAC Compliance Advisory Panel and a member of the Irish American Business Chamber and Network (IABCN) and the French American Chamber of Commerce. In June 2013, Byrne participated in a panel discussion on cyber technology at the Bank Audit Committee Conference.

Byrne completed her undergraduate studies at James Madison University, earning a B.B.A. in accounting and finance. She is a 2014 graduate of the Mazars EMBA Program.

Kathryn is a member of the College of Business Board of Advisors.
