What are some of your favorite hobbies?

Fishing, guitar/music, outdoors

What is the most interesting experience you’ve ever had?

-Electric Zoo Festival 2012 in NYC, tri-district (most recent)

- My experience studying (economics, culture and politics) and helping setup a faculty-exchange program in China (Tidewater Community College).  Cities visited: Shanghi, Guayong, Kunming, Hong Kong.  Went to the World Expo Shanghi 2010

What is one thing about you that most people wouldn’t know?

My biggest dream/goal is to walk across America sometime in the near future.  I have been planning, researching and dreaming about this trip for over a year.  Only my closest friends know about this journey that I seek to embark upon, and they all think I am crazy/nuts.  If I do partake in this journey, my dream would be a start on the day after graduation.  My reason for this is because too many people stick to the status quo, and never diverging into uncertainty or fear.  I believe in order to really get to know yourself, then you have to be alone with yourself, and then you will discover your best friend.  I want to have the opportunity to discover my country and its people on my own, not from hear-say, but personal experience.

What do you wish someone had told you during freshman year?

Do what you want, and not what you need to do.

YAYOO: You Are Your Only Obstacle

Growing up, the one thing I knew for certain that I didn’t want to be when I grew up was an accountant. Funny how things change…

What do you wish someone had told you during freshman year?

That I was going to major in business so that I wouldn’t have been behind my sophomore year and have to take eight COB pre-requisites in two semesters.

The procedure is common among collegiate and professional athletes in several sports, most notably baseball.

What are some of your favorite hobbies?

Smiling, longboarding (wearing helmets), drumming, reading, enjoying every second.

What is the most interesting experience you’ve ever had?

When I was 5 — picture a small red head with a pony tail — I got lost in a candy store with my mom. She was pushing my brother in a stroller and I wandered off. Before I knew it, I was yelling her name and ran out of the candy store. I headed straight for the exit of the mall thinking that she had left me behind. I ran outside and two women saw that I was frantic and needed help. They picked me up in time for my mom to walk outside and start yelling at them. The women were only trying to help, but my mom thought they were stealing me. For the next couple of years, I was a leash kid — every time we were in public.

What is one thing about you that most people wouldn’t know?

I was born and lived in Seattle, WA for 6 years before moving to the great state of Texas.

What do you wish someone had told you during freshman year?

The limits that you think are bestowed upon you by those around you are only limits if you believe in them.

What is one thing about you that most people wouldn’t know?

I had a really sheltered childhood, so there are so many things I never did, movies I never watched (ask me if I’ve seen a movie that I “should” have seen, like Ferris Bueller, and I probably didn’t), and so much I have to make up for!

What do you wish someone had told you during freshman year?

Plan out your whole college career – which classes you have to take to graduate with the degree(s) that you want. It makes the journey much smoother and you can disperse the difficult classes throughout the years to make sure you don’t overextend yourself.
