Your financial support of the JMU College of Business helps maintain the high quality of the Madison Experience that you lived when you were a JMU student. Please consider supporting current operational needs through an annual gift or make an endowed gift, which will have lasting effects far into JMU's future.

Ways you can give

Gifts can be in the form of cash, stock transfer (no capital gains), real estate, insurance policies, and/or many types of deferred giving.

Many companies match charitable gifts. Go to http://www.matchinggifts.com/jmu to find out if your company has a matching funds program. Also, ask your company or foundation to support CoB.

Annual Gifts

Annual gifts are how most alumni begin making their pledges upon graduation. These gifts usually range from $1 - $5,000 and usually alumni increase the size of their annul gift over time. Typically, alumni at other universities make annual gifts throughout their lifetime. These gifts can be made to the College of Business as a whole or specifically to your major.

Endowed Gifts

Endowment Gifts are critical because they represent a permanent, perpetual gift to your alma mater. At this giving level, the donor is able to both name the gift (usually for their family, a professor, or someone else important to them they wish to honor or memorialize) AND direct its use for faculty support or student scholarship. The minimum amount to establish an endowed fund is $5,000 for 5 years.

While the donor may add to their fund in future years as prosperity allows, once the fund is recorded it becomes available for other to contribute to as well. Anyone may contribute any amount to an established endowed fund. Making any endowed gift raises the permanent endowment of JMU.

Payment Options

Personal checks can be made to the JMU Foundation. On the memo line, please write the endowment name (Endowed Faculty Support Fund or Scholarship) or the name of the annual fund (dept annual funds) you wish to support.

Give online. For Gift Designation, state the fund number or name.
