Mission Statement:
Since its foundation in 1927, the university has enjoyed 75 years of history. The founding principle was the late President Chang Kai-shek. After the retreat of the ROC government to Taiwan, there used to be a resolution of not considering the re-opening of any public university formerly based on the mainland on the island. There are eight centers in this university: Public Administration and Business Management Education Center, Social Science Information Center, Computer Center, Language and Audio-visual Education Center, Affiliated Government Employee Education Center, International Relations Research Center, Election Survey Center, and Psychological Counseling Center. Finally, there is a Committee of Academic Research and Cooperation. Besides, the university has an affiliated experimental elementary school and kindergarten. National Affiliated Senior High School of NCCU, which is set to officially open in 2004, will be a comprehensive high school. As a result, we will be able to provide education in all stages, from kindergarten, elementary school, high school, to the undergraduate, master and doctoral programs in the university.
