Athletic Training
This major prepares students to become certified athletic trainers through the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification. Areas of study include: prevention, emergency care, injury evaluation, and rehabilitation of the physically active. The AT program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). This program is comprised of both academic and clinical requirements. It is not an open program ; students must apply for admission to the program. Specific requirements for acceptance are available from the program website or by contacting the program director . General education packages III.C. and V.B. are recommended for this program because they include courses required by the major.
