The Governor's Office for Substance Abuse Prevention (GOSAP) and the Office of Substance Abuse Research (OSAR) in the Department of Health Sciences at James Madison University established a partnership in October 2000. Through this partnership, prevention professionals throughout Virginia are afforded the opportunity to enhance their knowledge, skills and abilities to select and implement scientifically-sound prevention programs. Information, training and technical assistance are available to all prevention professionals- in public and private agencies and organizations- throughout Virginia.
