This is a
2H{1H} spectrum of Luksusowa vodka. Unlike
vodkas produced in the United States, which are fermented from
various grains, this vodka imported from Poland, is fermented from
potatoes. The spectrum is one of many obtained in an undergraduate
research project using Site-Specific Natural Isotope Fractionation
Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (SNIF-NMR) for the analysis of alcoholic
beverages. Benzene was used as an internal standard in a concentric
NMR tube. The spectra were obtained on the Bruker DRX-400 NMR at
61.4 MHz. The instrument was run unlocked and the chemical shift
uncorrected.
