Activities (sample schedule from 2004; 2008 schedule TBA)

June 1 - Orientation meeting and department tour at 9 am in Miller 217.  Continental breakfast will be served.

June 9 - Safety Lecture presented by Dr. Bob Atkins at 3 pm in Miller 232.

June 10 & 11 - Student Presentations from 3-5 pm in Miller 232.  Students will give short presentations on their summer research projects.

June 22 - Meeting of summer program participants at 11 am in Transitions Room in Warren Hall.

June 30 - Pizza lunch at 12 noon in Miller Hall Lobby sponsored by the CSM Dean's office.  Bring your own drink.

July 13 - Cookout at 6 pm followed by a pool party from 7-9 pm.

July 16 - Canoe trip and BBQ.  Vans leave from Miller loading dock at 9:15 amand return at approximately 7:30 pm.

July 23 - Seminar, "Biologically Derived Synthesis and Assembly of Novel Macromolecular Materials," presented by Dr. Kristi Kiick from the University of Delaware at 3:30 pm in Miller 101.

July 30 - Seminar, "The Global Nitrogen Cycle and Nitrogen Fixation by Iron Complexes," presented by Dr. Pat Holland from the University of Rochester at 3:30 pm in Miller 101.

August 4 & 5 - Summer Research Symposium starting at 8:45 am in Miller 101.

August 5 - Pizza Lunch at Dave's Taverna.
