Take Your Professor to Lunch/Coffee

Take Your Professor to Lunch or Coffee (TPLC) provides an opportunity for faculty who teach classes with enrollments of 50 or more to get to know their students better.  This popular initiative allows students to establish an educational relationship with a faculty member; evidence shows that students who have a professional connection with a professor outside of the classroom are more successful in their overall collegiate experience.  TPLC is jointly sponsored by the CFI, Student Government Association (SGA), and University Programs.

Registration Information:

Eligible faculty can register for a complimentary lunch or coffee at one of several on-campus locations.  Requests are accepted the 1st through 3rd week of each semester or until we receive 50 requests. Upon selection, a student representative of the TPLC program will arrange to come to the registrant's class to randomly select six students to engage with the professor.  The CFI will make the lunch or coffee reservation and send reminders to participants.  Lunches and coffees take place between the 5th and 11th weeks of the spring semester.  Due to the increasing popularity of this program, faculty will be limited to participating with students from one course only.

Registration for TPLC Fall 2014 begins in early September.

If you do not complete the registration application completely, your request will not be considered.
