The BRCC/JMU Teaching Collaborative provides faculty with a day of reflection, conversation, and exploration about teaching.  Specifically the collaborative strives to promote the success of transfer students, while also supporting effective assignment design for introductory-level courses across the curriculum.  The collaborative experience offers the opportunity to get to know colleagues with similar teaching interests and assignments, while working to articulate introductory course expectations and outcomes.  Most importantly, the collaborative experience offers grant opportunities for participants to seek funding for projects leading to greater curricular alignment and improvement of transfer student success.  Please join the conversation as we strengthen collaborative relationships across institutions.

This opportunity is designed to help faculty make progress towards the following outcomes:

  • Gather BRCC and JMU faculty for conversations related to effective pedagogies and course design
  • Outline grant process
  • Share assessment results
  • Form new partnerships
