International Part-Time Faculty
The Center for Faculty Innovation (CFI) and the Office of International Programs (OIP) are collaborating to foster a sense of community and provide professional development opportunities for part-time JMU international faculty. Provost's Award for Excellence in Part-Time Teaching
This annual Provost's award recognizes a JMU part-time faculty member who has made a significant contribution to teaching and learning at the undergraduate and/or graduate level. The recipient receives a $1,000 honorarium. Click here to access application materials and to view past award winners and 2012 nominees.
Part-Time Faculty Professional Development Day
Every spring the CFI sponsors a day rich with faculty development opportunities for Part-Time faculty. Sessions include interactive workshops on effective pedagogies, technology and information literacy. This experience also allows part-time faculty to network with colleagues and share ideas. Madison Career Fellows - Part-Time Faculty
Designed for Part-Time faculty, this semester-long MCF will explore some of the opportunities and challenges facing them, including continued professional and instructional development, an understanding of students' needs, and the role of Part-Time faculty in creating curriculum.
