Thinking about submitting a journal article? Ready to turn in your thesis? Before you do, attend the CFI's Submitting your Thesis: The Ins and Outs of Scholarly Communication. This workshop will cover everything you need to know about the University's procedures for thesis submission as well as give you a basic overview of your rights when publishing your academic work.
Brian Cockburn, Associate Professor, Head of Music Library
As Copyright Coordinator, Brian Cockburn teaches and advises faculty, administrators and students about copyright, and intellectual property. He holds an MA in Musicology and an MLS from the University of Arizona, preceded by a BM in Music Performance from Texas A&M. He received his certification in Copyright Management and Leadership from the Center for Intellectual Property at University of Maryland University College. In addition to composing, conducting, and performing, his scholarly interests include large scale popular music forms, and the social revelations provided by rock opera, hip hopera, and jazz opera.
