Faculty Interest Groups (FIGs)

Wind Energy

Through this faculty interest group, participants will connect with faculty and staff all over campus with an interest in teaching about and doing research on wind energy. Currently, the Virginia Center for Wind Energy (VCWE) is planning to develop a wind energy minor at JMU and would like to collaborate with faculty in different disciplines to make it a multi-disciplinary minor - just like the wind industry. In addition, VCWE collaborates with the wind industry on wind energy research and through collaboration with other faculty and staff would like to expand their reserach topics.
