James Madison University Center for Faculty Innovation

Graduate Teaching Fellows

Description

The Graduate Teaching Fellows Program provides an opportunity for students from all academic disciplines to gain experience designing their own college-level courses that utilize learner-centered teaching methods. The program focuses on the development of meaningful assessments tailored to specific, thoughtful learning objectives. Group members meet formally every two weeks to discuss their progress and workshop their course activities and assessment plans. However, individual consultations with CFI faculty and small group meetings are encouraged to help participants get the most out of this collaborative process.
