WHAT MAKES GREAT TEACHERS GREAT?

This workshop will highlight the effective strategies of JMU teaching award winners. Through video clips and interview transcripts, the workshop presenter will explore a range of teaching methodologies that these instructors could not live without. Methods useful in all types of classes and a variety of disciplines will be explored. Whether you teach a small upper division class or a large introductory class, you are sure to gain insights into making your classroom a more effective learning environment. Participants will also have the opportunity to add to the dialogue and share some of their classroom success stories.
