Dr. Mark Gabriele is a Professor of Biology at JMU. He earned a BS in biology from JMU and Ph. D. and postdoctoral fellow in neurobiology and anatomy at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine. Mark has secured several grand awards: NIH-AREA (R15); NSF-MRI, CHRB, and Jeffres Memorial Trust. Mark's research interests include understanding the developmental mechanisms that shape neural circuits that encode hearing. He enjoys live music, beaches, backpacking, swimming, yoga, and all things with his family.
