As a photojournalist, Linda Smith has photographed orphanages in Russia and India. Her photographs of Rwanda and Uganda were featured at the Rwandan Embassy in Washington D. C. in 2006. In 2008, Linda was commissioned by the United Nations to travel to Rwanda to teach photography to twelve survivors and repentant participants from the 1994 genocide. In 2010, she was commissioned by the UN to curate a photography exhibit of the 12 participants’ photographs at the Genocide Memorial in Kigali, Rwanda. Linda is currently living in Kigali, Rwanda where she runs Through the Eyes of Hope Project as well as teaches photography at KIST University.
