Anthony Tongen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at James Madison University.  He emphasizes engaging students in undergraduate research-type projects in his teaching, which resulted in a book with a JMU colleague called Keeping it R.E.A.L: Research Experiences for All Learners.  This emphasis on undergraduate research characterizes his research program as Anthony has mentored more than 55 undergraduate students in research experiences during the last 7 years.
