Teaching Assistants (TAs) are a small but important provider of classroom and/or lab instruction. Each year in August, two workshops are provided for TAs. One focuses on the planning for the first day of class and the second is a problem-solving session designed to prepare TAs for classroom difficulties which may arise. During the 2006-2007 academic year, a needs assessment will be conducted with JMU TAs to determine areas requiring professional growth and support.
