The Centennial Scholars Program employs many strategies to help support and retain its students. Programs include the Student Administrator Instructional Faculty (SAIF) Partnership Program, the Zie Rivers Academic Mentoring Program, the Family Network and the CSP Buddy System.
Join the parent network to provide resources to new parents and support to Centennial Scholars participants throughout their career at JMU.
If you are a parent of a Centennial Scholar this is one way you can give back to the program that has meant so much to you and your student.
The CSP Family Network (CSPFN) is for CSP students' families. It is a way for families and students to connect with each other, to be supported and have others to share with.
The CSPFN is doing great things under the leadership of Ms. Ojetta Ransome and Ms. Paula Harp. We need YOU in the CSP Family Network, so contact Ms. Ransome at (804) 305-4647 or Ms. Harp at (804) 350-1816 or via email at PaulaJoy3@msn.com to get connected!
The Zie Rivers Program is designed to provide individual or group academic support to students in various academic subjects.
The SAIF partnership program is a joint program between the Centennial Scholars Program and JMU administrators and faculty.
SAIF is an opportunity to impact students for a life time and share your professional/personal experience in a mentorship role. If you are interested in participating in this program please contact Mrs. Carla Breeden for an application.
The CSP Buddy System is a peer support program. Junior and Senior CSP students team up with Freshmen and Sophomore CSP students to advise them on age-specific issues, such as the best classes to take, places to live, and clubs to join.
