Graduate Catalog Production Schedule

2011-12 Production Schedule for the 2012-13 Catalog

Action   Date
Verify contact people and information for each unit
Your academic unit will receive an email from our office to verify the contact person and his/her contacts.
  December 2011 – January 2012

Distribute first draft
The designated contact person will receive an electronic copy of the current program and course description text. Any curricular changes approved by this date will be included in the draft copy. This version will be sent in a protected Word file so we can see your changes clearly. The formatting in this draft will not be the same as in the printed catalog.

Note: We begin sending the copy on this date. As distribution is staggered by college, you may receive your copy up to two days later. If that happens, your revision deadline will also be later!
  Monday, January 23, 2012

Distribute faculty list
The faculty listing at the back of the catalog includes all full-time graduate instructional faculty members and their rank, academic unit and educational background. We send a draft of this list to each academic unit so corrections and changes can be made. Response from the academic unit is the only source we have for this information, so review it carefully. You are only responsible for the faculty in your academic unit.
  Monday, February 13, 2012

First revision deadline
Your academic unit must return corrected files by this date. The date will also be specified in the email when you receive your text.
  Monday, February 27, 2012

Faculty list revision deadline

C&I change deadline to Graduate Council
All curricular proposals must be fully approved with signatures from the appropriate final approver. For most course proposals and program changes, this is the Vice Provost for Academic Programs. If a program change requires approval beyond the university (such as a new program), that approval must be received by this date.
