UNST 150. Global Learning and Living: Madison International.
Living together in a residence hall at the heart of JMU's campus, the Madison International learning community provides an extraordinary opportunity for a diverse cohort of international and American student-residents to learn from and about each other through stimulating academic course work, intercultural residence hall programs, service learning opportunities and many other activities. This elective course is required for participation in the Madison International Learning Community at JMU. Prerequisite: Successful application to Madison International Learning Community or current resident of Madison International Learning Community.
UNST 151. Making Sense of Beliefs and Values: A Guided Tour for Global Citizens.
Designed for Madison International, a vibrant learning community at JMU, this course explores the origin and nature of beliefs and values, and how they are linked to actions, policies and practices around the world. These processes are examined through a range of big picture issues (e.g., religious, political, environmental, gender-based, cultural) that are relevant to all global citizens. This course is required for participation in the Madison International Learning Community at JMU. Prerequisite: Second year student in the Madison International Learning Community.
