This will include procedures for running transactions and reports.
Aero ll Card Reader Procedural Training
This session continues from the Aero Card Reader course listed above. We will cover the Procedures and Usage of the Aero ll Card Reader. Participants from Dining, Concessions, Resident Life and all other departments, using the Aero ll, will be given an initial "walk-through" to become familiar with the device, then will be shown specific functions for each item used. This will include new, updated procedures for running transactions and reports.
These can be attended by managers and clerks alike. There should be segregation between those who use the original Aero and the Aero II as this will help to avoid confusion for those who do not use the Aero II.
Aero Card Reader Procedural Training(Customized)
This session will be tailored to the needs of individual departments, including a full overview of the Aero's functionality. Specific, focused procedures for each department will be explained. Q&A at the end of the instruction.
Micros Training Classes Taught by Jason Chandler
Class 1 - Location specific register training (Requires at least 1 week of lead time to ensure the test RVC is customized for those attending):
In this class I will load up a copy of the areas micros setup so users can play with how the registers function doing live transactions in a test RVC. This will allow Cashiers to have full hands on training for their area. Including the use of SVC, Meal plans, and other tenders. If their area includes any special peripherals such as scales, barcode scanners, KDS, etc they will have the ability to use every aspect of the system they use.
This class will require some input from the location manager to ensure all needed aspects are covered. This class will also need to be done area by area to avoid covering information that is not relevant to all people attending.
Estimated class time: 30-45 minutes
Class 2 - General Micros register training
This class is general use of the Micros registers and tendering of sales. This will cover Duke Deals, Running the employee report, split tenders, etc. Can be attended by any area as there won't be any location specific information covered. This class will also allow for "live transactions" as it will take place in a training RVC modeled after PC Dukes.
Estimated class time: 30-45 minutes
Class 3 - Location Specific EMC training and RVC customization (Requires at least 1 week of lead time to ensure the test RVC is customized for those attending):
This class can also be done in multiple sessions if needed.
In this class the managers and supervisors of areas will have the opportunity to play with EMC in a safe environment. There will be a test RVC setup that they can play with to see what everything does. This can also be used to explore different options and setups that the managers may want for their area. Since this would be location specific it would also allow for in depth customization of an area to better suit the needs of their individual area.
This class will also need to be done area by area to avoid covering information that is not relevant to all people attending.
Estimated Class time: 1-2 hours depending on the needs of those attending.
Class 4 - General EMC training:
In this class we will go over the basics of using EMC including adding of items, barcodes, pricing, SLUS, etc. It would be a broad stroke class people from any location can attend to understand the basics.
Estimated Class time: 45-60 minutes possibly shorter depending on how quickly those attending grasp the concepts presented.
Can be combined with Class 5.
Class 5 - Specific or General RMC, NVP, and Dataviewer:
In this class attendees would learn how to run reports for their area including the reports they need for core (if dining employees) or the reports needed to reconcile for their area. This would be specific to the area type in question. Attendees would learn about all the useful reports in micros and how to pull them up and export them out. They will also learn how to investigate problems to a small degree.
Estimated Class time: 45-60 minutes possibly longer or shorter depending on the needs of those attending. Can be combined with Class 4.
Other Training Options will be made availalbe in the near future.
